“Dieter made the tour extremely interesting and engaging. He had great depth and breadth of knowledge, and is a great communicator and storyteller. He was also conscious of the weather, and made sure to find warm places to pause and tell us about things. He was considerate of local rules and shared these kindly. The headsets for bigger groups were a stroke of genius! I think they would also be very helpful even for small groups. This tour is worth the time and money :)”

Review of Vienna’s 2.5-hour small-group walk, covering imperial landmarks, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, guides, value, pace, and practical tips.

“Great introduction to Vienna, the Historical Centre is remarkably compact. Our guide, Dace, who spoke accent free English, showed us some behind the doors visits of some buildings Dace also has a fabulous sense of humour. We knew virtually nothing about Vienna and left the tour feeling equipped to choose how to spend the rest of our time and where to eat! We also passed the Spanish Riding school, which was a treat! Everything is expensive in Vienna but this tour was worth it.”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 887 reviews · 2 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $32

Explore Hitler’s Vienna on a thoughtful 2.5-hour walk linking art, antisemitism, Nazi history, Jewish memorials, and major city landmarks.

“This was an excellent tour that detailed Hitler’s relationship with Vienna and how it affected his thinking and beliefs. As a retired World History teacher Stefan provided great insight along with interesting and accurate historical detail throughout the tour. Besides the history that was presented, seeing some of the most beautiful parts of Vienna was a plus. In my opinion this tour is not to be missed.”

“Our guide, Herbert, was very knowledgeable about the history of Vienna. He kept the dialogue interesting so the experience was far from being a dry history lesson. I recommend this tour as a good foundation for a first time visit to Vienna. And even better if you’re lucky enough to have Herbert as your guide.”
